In Mahabharat pandavas and Lord krishna tried their best to avoid the war. Krishna gave assurance to the duryodhan that if he offers them only five Villages then pandavas will not demand any thing else. 

Duryodhan told you are talking about five villages but I am not ready to give land equal to the tip of the needle. Krishna told that now there is not any other way except war to resolve the matter. 

Here Krishna showed his aversion to war  but it happened. This shows the destiny whatever there to be happened it would certain to happen but one should try to use his wisdom to analysis the good and bad and always support good. 

Human life is very short and nobody is 

immortal. So one should try to achieve knowledge and wisdom in this life. Try to know our


self, think who we are?

  In mahabharat when it was certain to war between Karva and Pandavas then both Duryodhan and Arjuna went to Krishna for help then Krishna told I have two things myself and my Army.   Krishna told Arjuna don't think much and don't  analysis much, just believe in the immortality of  the soul, you know Soul exists always, it can not be destroyed, so who are wise they don't have  any sorrow on the death of any relative because t the one who is wise knows that soul changes the  after performing his prescribed part.  So every souls exists always but in different  body, and this continue till soul gets Moksha.  Moksha is a state from where no other body for the soul, soul shuns this practice of changing  body again and again and meets with the  almighty.  So be calm and don't panic and after  competition of your worldly duties try to  Moksha).
